Arafat the Monster

From an Op-Ed piece by Jeff Jacoby in the Boston Globe:

YASSER ARAFAT died at age 75, lying in bed surrounded by familiar faces. He left this world peacefully, unlike the thousands of victims he sent to early graves.

In a better world, the PLO chief would have met his end on a gallows, hanged for mass murder much as the Nazi chiefs were hanged at Nuremberg. In a better world, the French president would not have paid a visit to the bedside of such a monster. In a better world, George Bush would not have said, on hearing the first reports that Arafat had died, "God bless his soul."

And that's just the opening! It goes on to mention the absurd eulogies of The Guardian and the BBC praising Arafat's life and his "undisputed courage as a guerrilla leader." Pretty sickening when you think of all the Israelis that have been killed in the name of Islam and Yasser Arafat.

Very nice article. I was wondering why he was getting full military rites. Of course, is there a better place for him to die than in a PARIS hospital?

Another interesting note that I don't think many people realize. Israel was not carved out of Palestine. Palestine has never had statehood. In fact, most of the other Arab countries don't want these people either. They are refugees.

That site has a great history of Israel and Palestine you can read, if you want the facts. Intersting to note, that region, until recently, has always been under the control of outside rule. I will post this on my site as well later this evening. I would guess that most Americans think that Israel was carved out of a country called Palestine.
