I was pretty surprised to see that Johnny Carson died this morning of emphysema. I was especially surprised because of a story I just read last week about Johnny still enjoying writing monologue jokes for David Letterman. I, like many people my age, grew up watching Carson and it was always a treat to stay up "late" to watch, even if I didn't always get all the jokes. Oh the days when then "Tonight Show" was worth watching.
Rest In Peace, Johnny.
